Operations
Key Responsibilities
- Report to the Head of Finance and supervise the day-to-day financial operations
- Work closely with the Shared Service Center (SSC) team to manage month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Support planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Preparation of management reports for Senior Management review
- Preparation of cost allocation and intercompany recharges to other related entities in Asia Pacific
Tax
- Ensure full compliance with relevant tax laws, regulations and reporting requirements (e.g. SST, WHT, e-invoice)
- Prepare and ensure timely submission of Corporate Income Tax (CIT) filings, including deferred tax calculations and other tax matters with the Tax Authority.
- Lead annual Transfer Pricing documentation and liaise with external consultants to mitigate tax risks.
Audit
- Coordinate with external auditor for annual audit procedures and required schedules for the Malaysian entity.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)
- Support and ensure compliance with all statutory filing requirements.
Others
- Assist in identifying and implementation of best practices on internal controls and process improvements.
- Work closely with the SSC team to manage month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting to head office and management team.
- Support head office initiatives to improve finance processes across Asia Pacific.
- May be required to support Head of Finance to supervise financial operations for Singapore entity.
- Assist in other projects and ad-hoc assignment as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA are highly preferred.
- Big 4 audit experience or prior experience as a Finance Manager is an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, IFRS, and statutory financial reporting.
- Experience supervising tax and audit procedures for both Malaysia and Singapore entities is required.
- Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- High priority given to candidates available immediately or on short notice.
