The Finance Manager is responsible for leading corporate financial reporting and compliance for investment holding entities, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close in accordance with accounting standards and group policies. The role oversees planning, forecasting, and management reporting, including latest estimates, corporate cost allocation, and related party and segmental analysis, while providing technical accounting guidance on complex areas such as forex, intercompany balances, and impairment assessments. The Finance Manager partners closely with stakeholders to manage audits, tax matters, and group reporting, and provides oversight on intercompany funding, system enhancements, and other strategic finance initiatives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead and oversee corporate entities financial reporting and compliance function. Accountable for monthly, quarterly and annual financial close for active investment holdings entities
- Timely and accurate closing & submission to Group Consol
- Compliance with accounting standards and group policies
- Provide technical accounting guidance (forex, functional currency, deferred expenses, loans)
- Oversee accruals, provisions and completeness of journals
- Lead impairment and recoverability of investment and interco balances
- Planning, Forecasting and Reporting
- Prepare and review latest estimates and business plan
- Oversee Allocation of Corporate Costs
- Review Related Party Transaction and Segmental analysis
- Prepare monthly management meeting slide and other presentation slide
- Stakeholder management and Team leadership
- Lead audit process and manage audit deliverables and queries
- Coordinate with Group Consol on reporting matters
- Oversee direct and indirect tax and deferred tax matters, including liaison with tax agents and consultants.

- System enhancements and automation
- Intercompany and Funding Oversight, including evaluating transactions from accounting and tax perspective.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess at least Degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA, ACCA, ICAEW or relevant qualification. At least 5 years of relevant working experience with audit and commercial (exposure to public listed company in Malaysia is an advantage).
- Strong understanding of accounting standards.
