Finance Manager

About the Role

Lanstitut Technologies Private Limited is looking for an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to lead vendor payments, collections, book closure, MIS, and financial planning functions. This role is responsible for managing a small team, strengthening financial controls, and partnering with leadership on budgeting and strategic decision-making. This is an on-site role based Bangalore, ideal for a qualified finance professional looking to take ownership of end-to-end finance operations and mentor a growing team.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Financial Strategy

• Lead, mentor, and manage the accounts and finance executive team, reviewing their work and building capability

• Partner with leadership on annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

• Drive cash flow planning and working capital management across the organization

• Identify financial risks and opportunities, and present recommendations to management

Vendor Payments

• Oversee end-to-end vendor payment processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant disbursements

• Approve and review vendor account reconciliations and resolve escalated payment discrepancies

• Establish and monitor vendor payment schedules, credit terms, and payment controls

• Oversee coordination with procurement and operations teams for invoice verification and approvals

• Ensure accurate TDS deduction, compliance, and reporting on all vendor payments

Book Closure

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual book closure processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and provisions prepared by the team

• Oversee bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and balance sheet schedules

• Ensure books are closed within company deadlines and in accordance with accounting standards

MIS & Reporting

• Own preparation and review of periodic MIS reports (P&L, cash flow, vendor ageing, expense analysis, budget vs. actuals, etc.)

• Build and maintain financial dashboards and trackers for management reporting

• Present financial performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership

Compliance & Process Improvement

• Ensure organization-wide adherence to GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements

• Strengthen internal financial controls, policies, and approval workflows

• Lead process improvement and automation initiatives across finance workflows

• Liaise with external consultants, banks, and regulatory bodies as required

Candidate Requirements

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant

• Experience: 2–3 years in accounts/finance, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, TDS, GST, financial reporting, and statutory compliance

• Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books or similar)

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial modeling)

• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines under pressure

• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with vendors, auditors, leadership, and internal teams

Work Schedule

• Six days working (Monday to Saturday)
