About Mantayay

Mantayay is a TikTok-first creator and live-commerce company. We work with creators, brands, and communities across Southeast Asia to produce engaging content, livestreams, and campaigns that move both culture and conversions.

As we continue to grow regionally, we're building a stronger finance backbone to support multiple entities, productions, and cross-border operations. We're now looking for a Finance Manager (with regional experience) who is hands-on, analytical, and excited to grow with us as we scale.

What You'll Do

You will manage local and regional finance operations across multiple entities (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Philippines), with a strong focus on management reporting, consolidation, budgeting, and FP&A. You'll also guide a small team of finance executives.

Your key responsibilities include:

1. Management Accounts & Reporting

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting (GL, fixed assets, basic payroll accounting) at the group level.
  • Review monthly management accounts and balance sheets for multiple entities to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform analytical reviews and variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Review key reconciliations (bank, AR, AP, intercompany, fixed assets) prepared by finance executives.
  • Ensure timely month-end closing and standardized reporting timelines across the group.

2. Group Consolidation

  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for the Group.
  • Ensure accurate intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and foreign currency translations.
  • Support audit requirements and maintain consistency in accounting treatment and group policies.

3. Month-End Closing (Holdings)

  • Oversee month-end closing for holding entities.
  • Monitor holding-level transactions such as investment movements, shareholder loans, and funding flows.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.

4. FP&A, Budgeting & Project Costing

  • Provide financial insights and variance commentary to management.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting, consolidating inputs from different entities.
  • Prepare dashboards, KPIs, and financial summaries for management reviews.
  • Review project-level costing (project P&L) to assess profitability and margins for key productions/campaigns.

5. Statutory Compliance & Governance

  • Oversee statutory and tax compliance for multiple countries (e.g. SST/CP204 in MY, GST/ACRA in SG, BPJS/LKPM in ID, etc.).
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries to ensure all filings and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and propose improvements to strengthen governance and efficiency.

6. Team Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Supervise and mentor finance executives in Malaysia and across the region.
  • Set clear reporting cadence and expectations across entities.
  • Drive continuous improvements in reporting, systems, and processes as the group scales.
Who You Are

This role is ideal for someone who's stepping up from Senior Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager into a regional Finance Manager role confident enough to lead, but still hands-on with the numbers.

Must-haves:

  • Degree in Accounting / Finance or a professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA)
  • Around 4-7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity
  • Strong technical skills in month-end closing, consolidation, management reporting, and basic FP&A
  • Experience in multi-entity or regional operations (Southeast Asia/HK exposure is a plus)
  • Proficient in accounting software (SQL preferred) and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with tight reporting timelines
  • Good communication skills and comfortable coordinating with cross-border teams

Nice to have:

  • Experience in media, production, e-commerce, or creator/live-commerce environments
  • Interest in how finance supports content, campaigns, and regional expansion
Why Join Mantayay
  • Be part of a fast-growing creator and live-commerce group with regional exposure
  • Take on a regional portfolio while still remaining close to the day-to-day numbers
  • Work directly with the CEO and leadership team on performance, budgeting, and growth
  • Young, dynamic, and creative culture with room to shape processes and build a solid finance foundation
