What you'll do:

As Finance Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of finance within a busy manufacturing setting. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing comprehensive reports that inform strategic choices, monitoring costs to enhance profitability, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, and collaborating closely with both internal teams and external partners.   • Prepare detailed monthly management reports, financial statements, and conduct thorough variance analysis to provide clear insights into business performance.
  • Lead the budgeting process by coordinating forecasts and cash flow planning activities that support organisational objectives and resource allocation.
  • Monitor manufacturing costs meticulously, manage inventory valuation processes, and perform cost analysis to identify opportunities for improved profitability across operations.
  • Ensure strict compliance with statutory requirements by managing tax filings, audit processes, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations.
  • Liaise effectively with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth audits and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Support management by delivering insightful financial analysis that informs key business decisions and drives operational improvements.
  • Continuously improve internal controls by reviewing financial processes regularly and implementing enhancements that increase reporting efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Supervise and mentor members of the finance team to foster their professional growth while ensuring timely delivery of accurate financial information.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of cost accounting principles enables effective monitoring of production expenses and inventory management practices.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is required for seamless communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders across various departments.
  • Excellent command of English is necessary for preparing reports and engaging with diverse teams; Bahasa Malaysia skills are considered an added advantage.
