Job Overview:

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our dynamic Malaysia team and play a key role in driving business performance, operational excellence, and financial strategy for Malaysia and Singapore Market. This position is critical to supporting our commercial goals through insightful financial planning, streamlined processes, and cross-functional collaboration. Reporting to the Head of finance and operation, the ideal candidate is strategic, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You should have a strong foundation in finance, a flair for operations, and a passion for creating value across the business. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complete financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Audit Schedules) for monthly and year-end reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and maintaining a strong controllership mindset.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) with support from the finance executive.
  • Manage year-end statutory reporting, including audits, direct and indirect taxes, and e-invoicing submissions. This involves preparing audit schedules and financial statements, as well as handling audit queries and resolving issues.
  • Conduct analysis and review of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts.
  • Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate valuation, reconciliation, and reporting of inventory in line with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to other team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support decision-making by delivering timely, detailed, and meaningful insights to stakeholders, offering clear visibility into business performance.
  • Lead transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities for technology adoption and process streamlining.
  • Drive fast-close accounting processes to improve reporting timelines.
  • Handle ad-hoc assignments as required.

Requirements:

Technical skills and experiences:

  • Degree/ diploma in accounting, preferably professional qualification e.g. ACCA , CPA, ICAEW
  • 5 years working experience with initial 2 years of working experience is preferred with a public accounting firm. Followed by 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting and commercial experience gained in commercial finance roles.
  • Candidates without experience with a public accounting firm but comes with strong experiences managing accounting and commercial finance will also be considered.
  • Good knowledge in accounting standards.
