Role Overview
This role oversees group finance, consolidation, reporting, and compliance across subsidiaries, supporting senior management and the Board with timely, accurate financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the accuracy of subsidiaries accounts and manage month-end closing activities.
- Prepare monthly group consolidation and analyze financial performance for senior management decision-making.
- Present monthly consolidated results to Senior Management.
- Review and ensure payments comply with group policies, including timely settlement to suppliers and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare annual budgets (P&L and capex) for management approval.
- Prepare quarterly Bursa announcements and reports for Board approval.
- Coordinate annual audit and corporate tax filings.
- Prepare draft financial statements and relevant sections of the annual report.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, legal advisors, and regulators.
- Support the development of finance policies, controls, and system implementations.
- Handle ad-hoc finance assignments as required.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, MIA) preferred.
- 812+ years of finance experience, with exposure to listed companies and group consolidation.
- Strong understanding of Bursa Malaysia reporting and compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience in audit, tax coordination, and statutory reporting.
- Solid stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented, structured, and comfortable working in a lean investment holding environment.
