Job Description
We are an established landscape company specialising in landscape maintenance, softscape and hardscape works, upgrading works and landscape projects for residential, commercial and mixed development projects.
We are looking for a responsible and experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance and accounting function and provide effective financial and management support to the company.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the overall finance and accounting functions of the company.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial reports and financial analysis.
- Monitor the company's cash flow, working capital, receivables and payables.
- Oversee credit control and follow up on outstanding customer balances.
- Monitor project budgets, project costs and actual expenditure and highlight significant variances to management.
- Work closely with the Project, Contract and Procurement teams on project costing, budget control and cost management.
- Review project profitability, work-in-progress and revenue recognition where applicable.
- Prepare annual budgets, cash-flow forecasts and financial projections.
- Ensure proper accounting records and internal controls are maintained.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, banks and other professional advisers.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, SST, e-Invoicing and other statutory requirements.
- Review payment, procurement and expense procedures to ensure proper authorisation and financial controls.
- Assist management in financial planning and business decision-making.
- Supervise, guide and develop the finance and accounts team.
- Perform other finance-related duties and assignments as required by management.
Requirements
- Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting/finance, preferably with experience at supervisory or managerial level.
- Candidates with experience in the landscape, construction, property development or project-based industries will have an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of full-set accounting, management accounts, budgeting, cash-flow management and financial reporting.
- Good understanding of project costing and budget-versus-actual analysis.
- Familiar with Malaysian taxation, SST and statutory compliance.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Able to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Mature, responsible and possesses good leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin/Chinese will be an advantage, particularly for communication with Chinese-speaking management, suppliers and customers.
