AVEVA is seeking a Master Data Management (MDM) team lead to join the Finance Systems reporting to the Finance Data Governance and Operations Manager.
The role is to manage the day-to-day operations of the global master data team ensuring accurate, consistent, and governed master data in Oracle and DAX to support business operations, reporting, compliance, and digital initiatives.
The Master Data Team Lead ensures trusted data, controlled processes, aligned stakeholders, and compliant governance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop master data team members
- Allocate workloads, manage priorities, and ensure SLAs are met
- Act as the escalation point for data issues and process exceptions
- System Ownership
- Own end-to-end Master Data in Oracle and DAX (create, update, deactivate)
- Ensure strong documentation (SOPs, user guides, etc )
- Data Governance & Controls
- Own and enforce Master Data policies, standards, and naming conventions
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
- Data Quality & Reporting
- Monitor data quality KPIs (accuracy, completeness, timeliness)
- Assist with regular audits, provide reconciliations, and perform cleansing activities
- Investigate root causes of recurring data errors
- Stakeholder & Change Management
- Partner with internal stakeholders such Process Ownership, Finance, Procurement, Sales, IT, and Tax
- Support business change initiatives and system transformations
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities and efficiency improvements
- Support ERP upgrades, migrations, and new system rollouts
