In this role, you take ownership for end‑to‑end Record‑to‑Report processes and help ensure that our financial information is reliable and meaningful.
- Execute Record‑to‑Report activities for assigned legal entities – from month‑end to year‑end closing.
- Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare financial reports and reporting packs in line with global and statutory requirements.
- Perform analysis and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Process journal entries, accruals and adjustments as part of the closing cycle.
- Handle intercompany account reconciliations, invoice processing and related payments.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and cash reporting.
- Process and maintain fixed asset transactions, ensuring complete documentation and compliance.
- Prepare and update intercompany withholding tax information for payment and submission.
- Support audit and tax queries by preparing schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in other teams to obtain trial balances, clarify variances and resolve data discrepancies.
- Contribute to system and process changes, including updating process documentation and participating in projects.
What Sets You Apart
- A degree in finance, accounting, business studies or a comparable field.
- Around 5 years of experience in Record‑to‑Report / General Ledger roles.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and closing processes.
- Practical experience with SAP and confident use of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and reconciliation skills, with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks in parallel and deliver high‑quality results to deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative way of working across functions and locations.
- Proficiency in English and Japanese, written and spoken, to support internal stakeholders in the region.
- You bring a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and are open to improving processes over time.
