Job Role Summary:
We're a fast-growing building raw materials trading business, operating in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. As we expand, we're looking for a hands-on Finance Executive to manage full set accounts, payroll, support accurate reporting, and ensure smooth finance operations and compliance.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-driven, dependable, and comfortable managing deadlines while working closely with internal stakeholders across sales and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Set Accounting & Monthly Closing
Handle full set accounting activities including AR, AP, GL, and bank reconciliation.
Support monthly closing and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and supporting schedules.
Finance Operations (Trading Environment)
Support day-to-day finance operations tied to sales and purchasing cycles (invoicing, payments, reconciliation).
Monitor receivables/payables aging and follow up on outstanding items when required.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth documentation flow and timely processing.
Payroll Processing & Statutory Submission
Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB where applicable).
Maintain proper payroll records and documentation for audit/compliance reference
Compliance, Tax & Statutory Filing
Ensure timely submission of SST, tax-related reports, and statutory compliance items.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities for year-end and compliance matters.
Maintain proper records and documentation to support audit readiness.
Internal Coordination & Process Improvement
Work closely with internal stakeholders (Sales/Commercial/Admin) to resolve finance-related queries and support smooth operations.
Support process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting quality.
Assist management in budgeting, cash flow tracking, and internal reporting when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
Diploma / Degree in Accounting/Finance.
Strong understanding of MPERS/MFRS + Malaysian tax basics.
Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets + accounting software (SQL/Xero/AutoCount/etc.)
Able to manage multiple deadlines, communicate well, and work independently.
