In this role, you serve as the operational expert for finance tools, ensuring stable daily operations, consistent configuration, effective monitoring, and strong end-user support. You enable Accounting teams to perform daily operations and period-end close activities efficiently, in line with defined standards and controls requirements.

What You'll Do

Hilti leverages stateoftheart digital solutions to enable efficient, standardized, and wellcontrolled Finance operations across its global footprint. BlackLine, as a leading cloud solution integrated with SAP and extensively used across Hilti, supports Accounting processes endtoend from daily operational activities to close governance, reconciliations, and internal controls.

In this context, the Tool Expert role plays a critical part in ensuring that the tool is configured, monitored, supported effectively, run stably and reliably, and continuously add value to Accounting processes. While the initial scope focuses on BlackLine, the role may expand over time to include additional finance tools.

System Operations & Close Support

  • Maintain and configure finance tools (e.g. users, templates, workflows, rules, job schedules).
  • Perform regular system checks and monitoring to ensure operational stability and data quality.
  • Monitor daily activities and monthend close progress, proactively following up on exceptions, delays, or inconsistencies.
  • Support system releases, upgrades, and testing activities (UAT, regression testing) in collaboration with Global Process Manager (GPM) and IT.
  • Support centralized period end close activities as defined by the GPM, including preparation of global workbooks and importing data into BlackLine to enable standardized close execution and monitoring

End-User Support & Enablement

  • Act as the first point of contact for end users on toolrelated questions and operational issues.
  • Provide handson support for daily operations and close activities.
  • Maintain and update SOPs, user guides, and operational documentation.
  • Support onboarding and training of new users.

Reporting & Governance

  • Ensure system usage and configurations comply with governance, policies, and internal control requirements.
  • Support Group Audit activities related to system governance, including preparation of evidence, walkthrough support, and followup on audit observations or remediation actions.
  • Support reporting needs, including data preparation and validation for systembased reports and dashboards (e.g. SAC Dashboard)

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

  • Identify recurring issues, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities in tool usage.
  • Proactively propose enhancements and automation opportunities to the GPM/ GPO.
  • Collaborate with GPM, SSC teams, IT, and external support partners to resolve issues and improve operational performance.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accountancy
  • Strong handson experience working with BlackLine in an operational or expert role
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-focused working style
  • Strong service mindset with clear communication skills
  • Enjoys working and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
