Financial Accounting Manager- Your future position

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager

  • Lead the Financial Accounting Team
  • Provide business support to the local operations

Your Main Responsibilities

Organization

  • Assist to guide and develop Financial Accounting team
  • Ensure team members are aware of their job responsibilities and receive appropriate training to perform effectively.

Financial Accounting and Reporting

  • Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with legal and statutory requirements, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Review and ensure internal controls are properly maintained, documented and reviewed according to latest business environment
  • Coordinate and lead all internal and external audits
  • Lead in continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate with Group Treasury on banking matters

Tax planning and compliance

  • Ensure tax planning is performed in coordination with Group Tax while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and commitments made
  • Ensure Corporate Income Tax, SST and other tax returns are filed in accordance with local regulations
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law, search applicable tax benefits to identify areas to reduce tax and submit the application

Legal and Insurance

  • Draft, file and ensure proper retention of corporate documents
  • Support local legal and licensing requirements
  • Ensure that all 3rd party relationships are backed by legally enforceable agreements and that the companies interests are protected
  • Maintain insurance policies and perform reporting to Group Insurance, as required
  • Ensure appropriate management of insurance claims

Your professional profile includes

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or any relevant professional qualification.
  • Fluent in English and Local languages (Spoken and Written).
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Computer Literacy (Advanced Excel).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in a sizeable multi-national company, with manufacturing capability.
  • Experienced with shared service centres.
  • Previous audit experience is also preferred.
