Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for accurate and timely submission of monthly/quarterly/yearly local statutory returns to BNM and other regulatory reporting requirements, including audited financial statements.
Perform review on the variance analysis of the financial results pertaining to reporting to local management and statutory bodies.
Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliation of accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Identify and assist to implement initiatives to improve processes and collaborate across departments to ensure that initiatives are incorporated with sound financial controls whilst meeting business requirements.
Assist to address issues and queries related to GL posting from Policy Administrative System with Finance System team.
Identify improvement in workflow processes and update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for local reporting related areas.
Minimum Job Requirements:
A recognized Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification, with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel and SAP are added advantage.
Able to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Analytical and good problem solving skills.
Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
A good team player who is keen to learn.
