Job Description

Job Purpose

The FP&A Lead will play a critical role in strengthening the Company's financial planning and analysis capabilities, providing strategic insights and decision support to the CEO and business leaders. This role is responsible for leading the FP&A function, driving the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, and delivering accurate, timely management reporting to support business performance and growth. The incumbent will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organization, foster strong business partnerships, and contribute to the development of a high-performing finance team while building an efficient and value-added finance support function.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership -

  • Leading business teams through budget process.
  • Develop the reporting of management accounts
  • Hold month-end reviews with department heads to wholly understand performance and build understanding of expected future results.
  • Production of strategic KPIs which align interests of business towards the group's strategic vision.

Budgeting and Forecasting –

  • Lead in the production of 5-year plan on an annual basis and developing a monthly forecast for revenue and a high-level quarterly P&L forecast.

  • Contribute to the implementation of budgeting and forecasting software

Investment Appraisals –

  • Lead the evaluation of investment opportunities through robust financial modelling
  • Partner with business leaders to assess strategic fit, risks, and commercial assumptions underpinning investment proposals
  • Develop clear, data-driven investment papers and recommendations for senior management approval
  • Monitor post-investment performance against business cases, identifying variances and driving accountability

Finance Transformation (ad-hoc) –

  • Actively contributing to strengthening of the Finance team and identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and analysis.
  • Work directly with the Board on priority strategic matters as required

The successful candidate should be..

  • An experienced financial professional with a strong track record of leading FP&A or broader finance teams within Financial Services, or ideally Insurance/Insurance Broking
  • Confident presenting to and being a business partner with senior stakeholders
  • Have experience in transformation initiatives and implementing new policies, processes and new ways of working
  • Possess an internationally recognized accounting qualification
