FinOps Analyst

Role Purpose:

Working within our newly created Tech Hub in Kuala Lumpur, your role will be to manage and optimise all technology contracts and cloud spend across the K3 Capital Group. Implement Azure tagging and cost allocation to drive accountability, transparency and savings within the CIO. Act as the bridge between Finance and Engineering to ensure value-driven cloud consumption.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Own contract and vendor lifecycle (Azure, Saas, Services)

• Implement Azure tagging, cost allocation, showback / chargeback

• Analyse spend trends; forecasts, budget and anomaly detection

• Drive reservations / savings plans and right-sizing actions

• Build Power BI dashboards for Brand / project / service views

• Enforce governance on naming / tagging / compliance

• Partner with CIO and Engineering Leads to align cost and architecture

• Work closely with CIO on all arras of technology spend across all categories

Preferable Experience:

• 3-5 years in FinOps / IT Financial management / procurement

• Azure Cost Management, pricing models, usage APIs

• Hand son resource tagging, subscriptions, management groups

• Advanced Excel / Power BI; SQL or Python for data manipulation

• Cloud architecture fundamentals and governance exposure

Success Measures:

• 10% annualised reduction in cloud run-rate

• >95% tagging compliance across environments

• Forecast variance <5% month over month

• 100% contract renewal visibility (90+ days notice)
