Fleet Maintenance & Repair Manager (Confidential Search)

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee maintenance, servicing, and repairs of trucks, prime movers, and trailers.
• Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and vehicle downtime.
• Manage workshop operations, mechanics, technicians, and external repair vendors.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, engine, transmission, and braking system issues.
• Control maintenance costs, spare parts inventory, and repair budgets.
• Ensure all vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and compliant with applicable regulations.
• Monitor fleet availability, maintenance performance, and repair turnaround time.
• Prepare maintenance reports and implement cost-saving improvements.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy vehicle maintenance or truck workshop operations.
• Experience in team management, fleet maintenance, and cost control.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with prime movers and trailers is an advantage.
