(Forecasting, Business Partnering & AI Enablement) — WoodWing
Join WoodWing and play a key role in shaping the future of financial planning and decision-making in a global SaaS business. In this role, you will go beyond traditional reporting — partnering closely with business teams, driving forecasting processes, and leveraging modern data platforms to deliver actionable insights.
You will be part of WoodWing's transformation towards a more data-driven and AI-enabled FP&A function, working closely with both business stakeholders and data/technology teams.
Based in Malaysia and managed remotely from Amsterdam, this role is ideal for someone who is proactive, business-oriented, and comfortable working at the intersection of finance and data.
What You'll Do
Forecasting, Planning & Analysis
- Own and support recurring forecasting cycles (monthly / quarterly), including revenue, costs, and key SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR).
- Build and maintain driver-based models to support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
- Analyze financial performance and provide clear variance explanations vs. budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Translate financial and operational data into actionable insights to support decision-making.
Business Partnering
- Act as a finance business partner to teams such as Sales, and Operations.
- Support stakeholders with financial insights, performance tracking, and decision support.
- Challenge assumptions and help drive accountability around targets and performance.
- Communicate financial concepts in a clear and business-focused way to non-finance stakeholders.
Reporting, Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports (Power BI, Excel) to support management and business teams.
- Ensure consistency of key metrics, definitions, and reporting structures across the organization.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate FP&A processes.
- Support monthly reporting cycles and management reviews with clear, structured insights.
AI & Automation (Emerging Focus)
- Explore and apply AI use cases in FP&A (e.g., variance explanations, forecasting support, anomaly detection).
- Contribute to the adoption of modern technologies (e.g., Fabric, Copilot, automation tools) within finance workflows.
- Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and insight generation through automation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, or similar roles.
- Strong foundation in financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Experience with SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn) is a strong plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI (or similar BI tools).
- Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working remotely with international teams and stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or modern data platforms.
- Experience working with data models or understanding of data flows.
- Experience applying AI or automation in finance workflows.
- Background in SaaS or subscription-based businesses.
