Job Description:
- Defines and develops FPGA designs that mimics customer use model and enables FPGA silicon validation, IP, SW, tools, and integration.
- Defines and delivers continuous improvement of silicon validation environment and methodologies.
- Develops lab-based test environments and synthetic test content to characterize and test functionality, performance, and power and subsequently qualifies them for product release.
- Applies various hardware and software level tools and techniques to ensure functional coverage and that performance and power goals are met.
- Applies latest FPGA design flows, processes, and tools knowledge to improve quality and schedule.
- Implements digital logic functions in FPGA prototypes and validates the trade-off between architecture and design alternatives.
- Debugs and resolves silicon bring up issues, documents the solutions, troubleshoots, and debugs silicon from prototype to production.
- Collaborates with architecture, design, software, firmware, and tools teams to define validation strategy, develop test plans, and drive execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's / master's degree in electrical & Electronics Engineering (BSEEE) or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in post-silicon validation methodology, test planning, test development and debug
- Solid understanding of FPGA validation methodologies with handson experience in system validation and debug
- Knowledge of FPGA architecture (advantage)
- Experience or familiarity with programming languages such as Python and Verilog (plus)
- Experience in handling various high-speed test and measurement equipment such as V93K tester, high bandwidth real time/sampling oscilloscope, high frequency pulse/signal, power supply (advantage)
