Responsibilities
- Review transaction activities using fraud management reports, alerts, and system notifications to identify and prevent potential fraudulent behaviour, including escalated cases.
- Monitor real-time transaction queues to detect high-risk activities within the customer portfolio.
- Investigate and resolve flagged transactions within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to minimise potential revenue loss.
- Mitigate fraud risk by analysing transaction and account activities for suspicious or unauthorised behaviour.
- Examine customer transactions to identify fraud patterns such as BIN attacks, friendly fraud, and other emerging risks.
- Conduct continuous monitoring of customer and transaction records to detect fraudulent accounts and unauthorised transactions.
- Analyse account and transaction trends to identify existing and emerging fraud patterns.
- Assess and monitor fraud-related risks throughout the entire customer lifecycle.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects aimed at enhancing operational processes and improving fraud detection capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve issues related to fraud risk.
Qualifications and Background Requirements
- Minimum of two years experience in Fraud Risk Management and Controls within financial institutions, payment providers, card services, banks, or e-wallet platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to adapt and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of end-to-end fraud risk processes, policies, and operational controls.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume workloads in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Workspace tools.
