About This RoleWe're a fast-moving startup looking for a high-performing full stack developer who thrives on autonomy and wants to grow into technical leadership. This isn't a role where you'll be told exactly what to do—we need someone who can take ambiguous problems, figure out the right approach, and deliver results with minimal hand-holding.
You'll work directly with our CTO, own significant features end-to-end, and have a clear path to leading a team as we scale.

Key Responsibilities- Own features end-to-end: From understanding requirements through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Make technical decisions: Evaluate tradeoffs, choose approaches, and communicate rationale to the team
- Build for scale: Write maintainable code that can evolve with business needs without accumulating excessive debt
- Drive improvements: Identify inefficiencies in code, processes, or tooling and take initiative to fix them
- Contribute to architecture: Participate in system design discussions and help shape technical direction
- Mentor as we grow: Help onboard future team members and establish engineering standards
Required Qualifications- 3-5 years of full stack development experience with demonstrated ownership of significant features or projects
- Strong backend skills in Python/Django (FastAPI experience is a plus)
- Solid frontend experience with React ecosystem, preferably Next.js with TypeScript
- Database proficiency: Can design schemas, write efficient queries, and optimize performance
- DevOps fundamentals: Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment
- Testing discipline: Writes tests as part of development, not as an afterthought
- Clear communication: Can explain technical concepts, document decisions, and provide concise status updates
- Track record of independence: Evidence of delivering results without constant supervision
Preferred Qualifications- Experience optimizing application performance (caching, query optimization, frontend performance)
- Exposure to system architecture and scalability challenges
- Background in fast-paced startup or agency environments
- Open source contributions or side projects that demonstrate initiative
- Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small projects
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and debugging production systems
