Position: D365 F&O Finance Functional Lead (WM/SCM System)
Location: Relocation to Tokyo, Japan
Employment Type: 12-month contract (with the possibility of extension)
Job Description & Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced D365 F&O Finance Functional Lead to join a dynamic team in Tokyo. As a Finance Functional Lead, you will play a key role in the successful implementation and optimization of D365 F&O (Finance and Operations) for our client, with a focus on Warehouse Management (WM) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- D365 F&O Implementation: Over 10 years of experience in successfully implementing D365 F&O, focusing on the Finance modules.
- Finance Modules Expertise: Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and Fixed Assets (FA) modules.
- Finance Functional Consulting: Extensive experience providing consultancy in the Finance Functional area, advising on best practices and solutions.
- Data Migration: Proficient in managing and executing data migration processes during system transitions.
- Process Improvement: Proven ability to evaluate finance and dependent processes, identifying opportunities for optimization and providing improvement recommendations.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with both business and technical teams to implement effective, scalable solutions.
- End-to-End Implementation: Lead and manage all phases of D365 F&O implementation, including requirement gathering, CRP (Conference Room Pilot), training, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), Go-Live, and post-implementation support.
- Customer-Facing Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate and engage with stakeholders at all levels within the organization, ensuring clear understanding of project goals and requirements.
- Training & UAT Leadership: Lead the training and UAT phases to ensure smooth system adoption and functionality validation.
- Team Leadership: Capable of managing and guiding a team of Finance Functional Consultants, ensuring alignment and successful project delivery.
- Documentation Preparation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including Functional Design Documents (FDD), Fit-Gap analysis, and Training Guides.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and present findings clearly.
- Language Proficiency: Must possess JLPT N1 or higher proficiency, with the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in Japanese.
- Customer Location: Willing and ready to work on-site at the customer location in Japan.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: 10+ years of experience with D365 F&O implementations, specifically in finance modules (AP, AR, GL, FA).
- Expertise in Finance Functional Areas: Demonstrated expertise in financial processes, data migration, and system integration.
- Strong Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex implementations.
- Language Skills: JLPT N1 (or equivalent), with full proficiency in Japanese communication (both verbal and written).
