General Ledger Staff Accountant

GENERAL LEDGER STAFF ACCOUNTANT POSITION DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW:

Working as full-time Southeast Asia General Ledger Staff Accountant, you will enjoy the opportunity to participate in a fast-paced work environment focusing on a variety of accounting duties for Fastenal's world-wide locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Documenting, compiling, and analyzing entity financial transactions and reporting

o Managing procedures related to foreign entity audits and compliance reporting

o Assisting with set-up of new site locations and business process change

o Performing general ledger reconciliations

o Participating in development projects, planning, testing, and implementation

o Performing special projects and other administrative tasks as necessary

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The skills and qualifications for this position include:

o Possess or are working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting OR have relevant work experience

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

o Work independently as well as in a team environment

o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o Prior international accounting work experience

o Knowledge of PeopleSoft
