Responsibilities

  • Single point of contact for the customer for all transportation related process (Air, Ocean, and Road)
  • Understanding of the logistics / freight forwarding industry and will have to manage logistic service providers KPIs and quality targets.
  • Manage the customer relationship to ensure customer service standards are achieve and continually improve.
  • To attend and solve any customer related issue.
  • Ensure all freight forwarding operations and processes are carried out in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
  • Manage and lead the Control Tower team and ensure service delivery is met with customers requirement and expectation.
  • Act as primary advisor to the management team on operation issues (e.g., problem solving, identification and escalation of significant Operation issues).
  • Responsible for directing, coordinating, planning and overseeing tasks and operations involving transportation activities.
  • Responsible on the customer service, contract renewal & P&L management through own fleet management or vendor management.
  • Support implementation of new process for various business independently.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Focal point and escalation for all operation matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years working experience in field of Logistics, Transportation, and International Freight Operations (Air/Sea/Courier/Land) Operations in Technology Sector (good to have).
  • Working experiences in 4PL environment, Key Account Management, and Program will be an advantage.
  • A Degree with specialization in Logistics and Supply Chain.
  • Digital skills in spread sheets and word processing for tracking, analyzing, and communicating related data.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and use good judgment in making decision, restructuring priorities, and adjusting tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be able to readily adjust priorities in response to business needs.
  • Must be able to interface successfully with various personalities, cultures, and work environments.

The company DHL itself was founded in San Francisco, United States, in 1969 and expanded its service throughout the world by the late 1970s. In 1979, under the name of DHL Air Cargo, the company entered the Hawaiian islands with an inter-island cargo service using two DC-3 and four DC-6 aircraft. Adrian Dalsey and Larry Hillblom personally oversaw the daily operations until its eventual bankruptcy closed the doors in 1983. At its peak, DHL Air Cargo employed just over 100 workers, management and pilots.
