As a
General Manager Regional LOB Fire at Honeywell, you will own the regional P&L and be accountable for strategy, product portfolio including regional launch of new products, interfacing with the global product team, regional co-ordination, developing the (extended) team, owning key relationships and representing Honeywell BA externally to achieve our ambitious targets in a sustainable way. You will report to the VP/GM ASEAN & East Asia (AEA) and be a core member of the AEA leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
GTM Operational Excellence
- Develop and own strategy to deliver sustainable growth; contribute to regional strategy
- Deliver and exceed targets across key metrics (orders, revenue, operating income, working capital, cashflow)
- Develop and execute product portfolio strategy including identifying & driving new product introduction (NPI) working with country sales and global product teams
- Role model high quality sales and partnering processes along with country leaders (owning key relationships and selling to end-customers along with channel partners)
- Own regional co-ordination processes (sales roll-up, pricing approvals and value engineering, marketing allocation & content creation, external market monitoring)
- Represent Honeywell in key regional industry associations to support policy and standard-setting discussions
- Drive brand visibility and market positioning by leading participation in key industry exhibitions, trade shows, and similar external events
- Role model compliance with company policies, ethics and industry regulations
- Work with HBS leadership to support alignment between direct and indirect business
- Work with marketing & vertical sales to enhance external visibility and deeper engagement & demand generation with end-users and the eco-system; with customer support to ensure appropriate post-sales support
Team Leadership
- Lead high-performing team of offering managers and pre-sales technical support; support coaching and technical development of country channel sales teams; also guide relevant enabling and support functions (as needed)
- Participate in regional resource allocation decisions
- Be responsible for hiring, developing and retaining direct team
- Focus on training and motivation to increase performance and support classroom training with on-the-job coaching and feedback
Continuous Improvement
- Adopt a longer term and broader perspective (outside direct responsibility) to support overall growth aspiration
- Take ownership of specific needle-mover initiatives – lead team to identify right solution and execute to capture impact
Key Experience & Capabilities
- 15+ years of experience in building automation (with exposure to product management, sales or marketing); minimum of 3 – 5 years in a GM or sales management position (preferably with complete P&L ownership)
- Track record of exceeding targets and developing product portfolio & GTM strategies
- Experience in selling with channels to end-users and complex buying eco-systems
- Experience in collaborating with global product teams, country sales, marketing, etc.
- Experience in relevant domain within building automation is a key requirement; familiarity with Honeywell or competitor portfolios will be a strong plus
- Engineering / Business degrees preferred.
