ABOUT THE ROLE

AdGem, part of AdAction, is on a strong growth trajectory with 12 consecutive quarters of quarter-over-quarter revenue growth. This is a highly autonomous, commercially focused role centered on building ad monetization partnerships with mobile publishers, apps, loyalty platforms, fintech companies, and other digital businesses across Southeast Asia. The GM will own the SEA growth strategy, develop high-value partnerships, drive revenue, and establish AdGem's presence across the region.

The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, highly connected, and comfortable operating independently. This person will serve as the senior commercial representative for AdGem across Southeast Asia and should expect to be in-market approximately 50–75% of the time for partner meetings, conferences, and industry events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and execute AdGem's commercial growth strategy across Southeast Asia, using Singapore as a potential regional base while building pipeline and closing partnerships throughout surrounding SEA markets.

  • Identify, develop, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships across mobile publishing, loyalty, fintech, rewarded advertising, and digital ecosystems.

  • Own regional pipeline, revenue growth, forecasting, and overall commercial performance.

  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key partners and decision-makers across Southeast Asia.

  • Represent AdGem at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build relationships and expand market presence.

  • Provide market intelligence and strategic recommendations to AdAction leadership on opportunities, competition, and regional trends.

  • Partner with internal product, operations, and account management teams to ensure successful launches and long-term partner growth.

  • Help shape the infrastructure, partnerships, and resources needed to scale AdGem's Southeast Asia business over time.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, enterprise sales, general management, or commercial leadership within ad tech, mobile advertising, digital media, fintech, loyalty, or a related industry.

  • Proven track record of building revenue and strategic partnerships across Southeast Asia, with experience selling into multiple SEA markets.

  • Proven experience selling or developing ad monetization solutions, rewarded advertising products, offerwalls, or comparable performance-based monetization models.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage and close complex commercial partnerships.

  • Strong understanding of performance marketing and ad tech economics, including CPI, eCPM, ARPDAU, retention, LTV, and monetization.

  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable operating with significant autonomy.

  • Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese is required and one or more Southeast Asian languages is strongly preferred.

  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Southeast Asia, approximately 50–75% of the time.

  • Comfortable operating as an independent contractor/consultant.
