Role Description The General Physician at TherapyMantra will provide remote, part-time clinical care to clients requiring medical evaluation and support alongside their mental health treatment. This role includes conducting virtual consultations, performing comprehensive medical histories and physical assessments (as appropriate for telehealth), and offering evidence-based primary care guidance. The physician will collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care plans, review medications, and provide clinical input on complex cases. Daily responsibilities also include documenting encounters in electronic records, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and telehealth regulations, and participating in case discussions, training, and quality improvement initiatives as needed.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage common physical and mental health comorbidities.
  • Experience in Family Medicine and Nursing collaboration, including holistic, patient-centered care approaches.
  • Ability to provide Training, education, and guidance to patients and team members on health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Valid medical degree (MD/DO or equivalent) and current, unrestricted license to practice as a physician in applicable jurisdiction(s).
  • Prior experience in telemedicine or remote clinical care, with comfort using digital platforms and electronic health records.
  • Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive care.
  • Strong clinical judgment, ethical practice, and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience or interest in mental health, psychosomatic conditions, and integrated care models is highly beneficial.
