Bulk Parcel Operations Manager Job Opening for a Market Leader in the Chemical Manufacturing Industry

A world market leader in the chemical manufacturing industry with an internationally renowned Shared Service Centre (SSC) based in Kuala Lumpur. Due to rapid expansion, they are looking for a Bulk Parcel Operations Manager to be part of the team that is responsible for running all related functions across the APAC region and globally.
Your new role
- Performance & KPIs: Monitor shipowners performance and develop KPIs to drive continuous operational improvement, ensuring optimal ship turnaround per contract.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work with shipowners, brokers, shippers, and terminals to ensure smooth bulk shipping operations and resolve issues as needed.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: Conduct workshops on shipping topics like laytime calculation and post/fixtures to enhance personnel knowledge.
- Processes & Financial Oversight: Implement guidelines, SLAs, and cost monitoring for bulk operations, and ensure timely processing of freight invoices and claims.
- Safety & Business Readiness: Ensure compliance with bulk cargo safety codes, support logistics planning, and integrate new business into operations for optimal service.
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree/professional qualification (e.g., ICS/CILT), BS or BA degree in business management, supply chain management or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in Parcel tanker operations, covering fixture, post-fixture and demurrage computation.
- Exposure working on chemicals (tankers, charter party)
