Job Description

Our Utilities Strategy & Consulting team partners with leading electric, gas, and renewable energy providers to drive energy transition, customer experience innovation, and digital transformation.


We support clients across Retail, Transmission & Distribution (T&D), and Renewable Energy value chains in achieving sustainability, operational excellence, and business model reinvention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and lead end-to-end client engagements in areas such as Grid Modernization, Energy Transition, Digital Customer Experience, and Operational Transformation.

  • Define and implement business strategies, target operating models, and transformation roadmaps for utilities clients.

  • Conduct research, data collection, and analysis to support strategy formulation and delivery.

  • Design and deploy programs such as Smart Metering, Demand Response (DR), Distributed Energy Resources (DER), and Energy Efficiency initiatives.

  • Perform as-is/to-be process mapping, identify improvement opportunities, and define digital solution architectures.

  • Develop business cases, financial models, and performance dashboards to measure value realization and program success.

  • Create customer journey maps, KPI frameworks, and digital roadmaps to enhance customer experience.

  • Manage client communications, facilitate executive-level workshops, and ensure alignment on transformation goals.

  • Support project management activities, including PMO tracking, stakeholder reporting, and delivery governance.

  • Contribute to business development, including proposal creation, capability building, and thought leadership initiatives.

  • Mentor and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality delivery and professional growth.

  • Meter-to-Cash and Customer Service Operations

  • Smart Grids, AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure)

  • Demand Response (DR) and Distributed Energy Resources (DER)

  • Energy Transition & Sustainability Programs

  • Asset Health & Grid Performance Analytics

  • Digital Customer Experience & Self-Service Platforms

Consulting & Technical Skills

  • Business Strategy & Transformation Roadmap Development

  • Business Process Reengineering & Operating Model Design

  • Financial Modeling & Value Case Development

  • Data Analytics & Dashboarding (Excel, Power BI, Tableau)

  • ERP/CRM Systems Knowledge (e.g., SAP IS-U, Oracle CX, MDMS)

  • Strong Analytical, Communication, and Stakeholder Management Skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related discipline

  • MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred

  • Professional certifications in Energy, Sustainability, or Project Management advantageous

  • Experience working with or consulting for Utilities and Energy clients in ASEAN, North America, or Europe preferred
