ABOUT YOUR ROLE
Reporting directly to the senior director, operations & supply chain, you will be a member of the IL global operations leadership team. We expect you to lead the global quality team to deploy and maintain quality systems, tools and processes across our end-to-end value chain (from raw materials to final customer deployment), focusing on RFID technology performance, and ensure all products manufactured and serviced meet customer requirements while achieving superior quality and reliability levels. You will apply your creativity and problem solving skills to implement critical quality assurance strategies and processes. You are accountable for and lead multiple, highly complex global projects.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- You will be globally responsible for the strategic and operational performance of the quality function within the Intelligent Labels business, which includes developing, implementing, and periodically evaluating a program to ensure IL production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic and operational support to the organization including our customers and suppliers to increase customer quality excellence and experience, and reinforces our position as the industry leader in RFID.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a global, multi-cultural quality organization to pursue quality optimization by driving preventive and predictive actions in partnership with key functions, such as commercial, R&D, Product Line Management, Platform and Engineering, as well as external partners and suppliers to drive holistic quality improvement. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical mastery.
- Serves as an advocate for our customers on quality-related topics with the ability to effectively interact at all levels of customer organizations, including executive levels. Manage key customer complaint resolution processes while cooperating customer audits and implement world class quality practice in order to enact continuous improvement in all our manufacturing sites.
- Implement world-class quality practices within the supply base, ensuring that raw materials meet the rigorous demands of high-speed RFID manufacturing.
- Partner with manufacturing sites to ensure all sites meet the quality requirements during both internal audit and 3rd party (including customer appointed) audit.
- Build and refine processes and programs to improve product quality. Provide support with process documentation and metrics identification.
- Develop plans and deliver results in a fast paced business environment, while providing motivating leadership & guidance to the global quality organization and teams.
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent. At least 10 years strong experience in end-to-end quality management role in a supply chain or operations focused organization (preferably a director of global quality).
- Experience in the electronics industry (consumer or semiconductor) is highly desirable.
- Strong functional and technical knowledge and experience of quality engineering in RFID technology.
- Demonstrated expertise in quality methodologies such as Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, including tools like Design of Experiments (DOE) and 8D problem solving, and a strong culture of continuous improvement.
- Knowledge on quality assurance standards, procedures, and Certification Systems.
- Demonstrated experience with quality control and assurance processes for both high-volume mass production and low-volume, high-mix SKU environments.
- Have managed Quality performance at multiple manufacturing sites either via direct reporting or matrix organization.
- Proven customer-centric approach, demonstrated ability to build strong external connections, and be able to manage meetings with senior stakeholders independently.
- Cross-culture global working experience, covering program delivery in Western, Asian and emerging markets.
- Must possess a true sense of urgency to get work done quickly and accurately.
- Proven ability to act as a change agent for the organization
- Excellent English language capability, written and verbal.
- Capabilities to coach, manage, and guide a team.
- Ability to travel globally (30% travel frequency).
