Employment Type

  • Two (2) full-time position (fixed term contract of 1 + 1 Year)
  • Two (2) internship position

As part of our growing aviation operations division, we are seeking dedicated, disciplined, and operationally driven professionals to join our operational team based at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and in Kuching International Airport (KCH).

We are looking for suitable candidates to support and oversee Ground Service Equipment (GSE) inspection and operational activities while ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence within the airside environment.

Job Description

The Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Inspector / Engineer is responsible for supporting and overseeing daily operational activities, compliance monitoring, and inspection coordination relating to Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and vehicles at KLIA and KCH airports.

The role includes ensuring that all GSE inspection activities, operational practices, and equipment conditions are carried out in compliance with airport operational standards, safety regulations, and company requirements while supporting smooth and efficient airside operations.

The successful candidates shall possess good operational coordination, compliance monitoring, communication, and reporting capabilities, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced airport operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

1) Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Management & Operations

  • Conduct and coordinate routine inspections, monitoring, and operational checks on Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and operational vehicles including, but not limited to: Tow Tractors, Belt Loaders, Passenger Stairs, Ground Power Units (GPU), Air Conditioning Units (ACU), Lavatory Trucks, Cargo Loaders and other related airport support vehicles
  • Identify serviceable and unserviceable equipment and ensure equipment conditions and operational status are properly monitored and documented.
  • Monitor equipment condition, operational readiness, and serviceability status to ensure smooth airport operations.
  • Ensure all equipment and operational activities comply with airport operational standards, safety requirements, regulatory guidelines, and company procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring inspection validity, operational permits, compliance records, and related documentation requirements.
  • Assist in equipment audits, permit renewals, operational coordination, and compliance-related activities.
  • Attend, support or provide operational briefings, toolbox meetings, and safety meetings as required.

2) Reporting & Documentation Capability

  • Possess the ability to prepare, review, and maintain proper operational, inspection, and compliance reports with high accuracy, professionalism, and reporting standards.
  • Ensure all documentation, records, and operational information are properly managed and maintained for operational, compliance, and audit purposes.

3) Compliance & Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure compliance with MAHB, AVSEC, DOSH/JKKP, CAAM, airport operational requirements, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Liaise professionally with airport personnel, operational stakeholders, contractors, and relevant authorities regarding operational and compliance matters.
  • Support Management in maintaining operational efficiency, compliance standards, and service delivery within the airside operational environment.

4) Teamwork & Operational Coordination

  • Work closely with Team Leads, GSE Inspectors, Operations personnel, Management, airport stakeholders, contractors, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth and effective daily operations.
  • Demonstrate a strong team-oriented approach, supporting colleagues and contributing positively to the achievement of team and operational objectives.
  • Coordinate effectively with team members to ensure inspection schedules, operational assignments, reporting requirements, and follow-up actions are completed within the required timelines.
  • Assist and support team members during high-demand operational periods, inspections, audits, equipment incidents, and other operational activities as required.
  • Communicate relevant operational issues, equipment defects, safety concerns, and compliance matters promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain professionalism, respect, accountability, and effective communication when working with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced airside environment.
  • Be willing to undertake additional operational duties or responsibilities assigned by Management in support of overall airport and GSE operations.

Requirements

1) Educational Qualification

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Airport Operations, Technical Management, or related field, or equivalent qualification.
  • Fresh graduates with a strong willingness to learn and grow are encouraged to apply.

2) Experience.

  • Experience working within airport operational environments or airside operations in aviation operations, airport operations, GSE operations, compliance monitoring, or related field. will be an added advantage.
  • Experience managing or coordinating GSE inspection activities is highly preferred.

3) Key Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to plan independently to ensure daily, weekly and monthly goals to meet operational deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to prepare and review operational and compliance reports.
  • Possess valid driving license (D / GDL license). 
  • Possess good disciplinary and attendance record.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain airport security passes and operational clearances.

4) Mobility & Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel to other airports and operational sites within Malaysia as required for inspections, audits, project implementation, training, operational support or other company assignments.
  • Willing to work in airside environments and adapt to varying operational requirements, including occasional travel outside the employee's normal work location.
  • Possession of a valid driving licence and willingness to drive for official duties will be an advantage.

Working Hours

  • 5 working days per week
  • 2 off days per week
  • Travel allowance provided for official work travel outside of employee's usual work location.
  • Working hours (9 am to 9pm, inclusive of few break hours)
  • Candidate must be willing to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Salary

Full-time : RM 2500 – RM 3000 (negotiable | based on experience)

Internship : RM 500 (will be considered to be absorbed full-time)
