We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Group Accountant to lead and oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions across our group of companies. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of the Group's financial reporting while supporting business growth within a manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for group consolidation, financial governance, statutory compliance, and process optimization, while providing leadership to the accounting team and partnering closely with senior management to support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Group Financial Management & Reporting
- Lead and oversee the Group's accounting operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across multiple entities.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Perform group consolidation, financial analysis, and variance analysis to provide insights into business performance.
- Prepare and present quarterly and year-end financial results to the Board and senior management.
Compliance, Governance & Controls
- Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and internal governance policies.
- Oversee corporate tax compliance, including tax filings, tax planning, and tax audit coordination.
- Strengthen financial governance by implementing robust internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Manufacturing Financial Oversight
- Partner with operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting within a manufacturing environment, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, and production-related financial analysis.
- Monitor manufacturing-related financial metrics and provide insights to support cost optimization and operational efficiency.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Identify and drive continuous improvements in accounting processes, financial systems, and reporting frameworks.
- Participate in system upgrades, ERP enhancements, and digital transformation initiatives within the finance function.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent financial practices across the Group.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and finance professionals to build a high-performing finance function.
- Work closely with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and regulatory authorities on corporate matters.
- Support management in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities, aligning financial strategies with business objectives.
- Track and report financial performance while contributing to the development of financial KPIs and performance benchmarks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or MIA membership is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 1215 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including group consolidation and financial reporting.
- Mandatory experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, financial system implementations, or upgrades.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop Accounts teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
