About the Role

We are looking for a Group Finance Manager to support the Financial Controller in leading financial reporting, group consolidation, and financial governance across our regional operations. This role sits at the intersection of financial reporting, technical accounting, and controllership, requiring someone who can oversee complex accounting matters while strengthening internal controls and supporting business expansion across multiple jurisdictions. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, driving finance process improvements, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to build a scalable and well-governed finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Group Consolidation: Lead the monthly and annual financial close process across multiple regional entities, preparing and reviewing consolidated and standalone financial statements in accordance with IFRS while ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Technical Accounting & Financial Governance: Manage technical accounting matters, including accounting position papers for complex transactions, oversee intercompany accounting and group consolidations, and support the development of robust accounting policies and financial governance practices.
  • Internal Controls & Process Improvement: Design, implement, and continuously enhance internal controls, standard operating procedures, and finance processes, while driving automation and system improvements to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Regional Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with Treasury, Tax, Legal, and regional business teams to support financial governance, regulatory compliance, business expansion, new entity setup, accounting standard implementation, M&A integration, and other strategic finance initiatives.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Mentor and develop the regional finance and controllership team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high-quality financial stewardship.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience & Background: 7+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or controllership, including responsibility for group consolidations and multi-entity or regional finance operations. Experience gained within a Big 4 audit firm is advantageous but not essential.
  • Technical Accounting Expertise: Strong working knowledge of IFRS, group consolidation, and technical accounting, with hands-on experience supporting complex accounting transactions, financial reporting, and accounting policy interpretation across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Financial Governance & Business Partnership: Demonstrated experience strengthening internal controls, improving finance processes, and partnering effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to communicate complex accounting matters and support sound business decisions.
  • Leadership & Systems: Proven ability to lead projects and develop team capability while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, and experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Education & Professional Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or an equivalent is required. Strong English proficiency is required. Written and spoken Chinese proficiency is required to communicate effectively with colleagues, business teams, and external stakeholders across Chinese-speaking markets. Experience working across multiple jurisdictions within Asia is preferred.
