Position Overview
The Group Finance Manager plays a critical role in strengthening the company's financial governance across all overseas subsidiaries. This position requires frequent international travel to review subsidiary accounts, oversee audits, and ensure compliance with corporate standards. The role also supports new market expansions, optimises financial structures, and contributes to sustainability reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Oversight & Audit
- Conduct regular reviews of financial statements and accounting records across overseas subsidiaries;
- Coordinate and oversee statutory audits, ensuring compliance with local regulations and group policies;
- Provide recommendations to improve accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in financial reporting.
2. Contract Assets, Billing & Receivables
- Monitor contract assets and billing processes to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition;
- Track and improve trade receivable collections to strengthen cash flow and liquidity;
- Implement best practices for credit control and debtor management.
3. Capital Structure & Financing
- Optimise bank gearing ratios to balance debt and equity financing;
- Manage working capital requirements and project financing strategies;
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions to secure favourable financing terms.
4. Expansion Support
- Assist in setting up accounting and audit frameworks for new geographical expansions;
- Establish financial systems, reporting structures, and compliance procedures for new subsidiaries.
5. Internal Controls
- Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal control procedures.
6. ESG & Sustainability Reporting
- Collect and consolidate ESG-related financial and operational data;
- Monitor progress against sustainability targets and provide regular updates and reports to management.
7. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Develop and monitor cash flow planning models across subsidiaries;
- Oversee treasury functions, including liquidity management, foreign exchange exposure, and intercompany funding;
- Provide strategic input to optimise global cash utilisation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. Degree in Accountancy, CPA, CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CFA preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management, with exposure to multinational operations.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAPs, and international audit practices.
- Experience in treasury, project financing, and working capital optimisation.
- Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and sustainability metrics will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work across cultures.
- Willingness to travel extensively to overseas subsidiaries.
Reporting Line
- Reports directly to Group FC, Group CFO, and Group CEO.
- Works closely with Subsidiary Finance Managers, Internal Audit, Treasury, and ESG teams.
