About the Role

As a Group Internal Auditor (GIA), you will play a key role in strengthening the Group's internal control framework, risk management practices, and governance standards. You will be responsible for planning and executing internal audits, conducting special reviews, and working closely with Finance and business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Annual Audit Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan.
  • Conduct financial and operational audits across the Group in accordance with the approved audit plan.
  • Prepare audit programs, working papers, variance analysis reports, and rectification tracking schedules.
  • Communicate audit findings with Finance and business units, providing practical and feasible improvement recommendations.

Special Audits & Digital Enablement

  • Perform special audits on accounting records and selected business processes.
  • Assess system risks, data integrity, and effectiveness of internal controls from both process and data perspectives.
  • Support the implementation of audit digitalization and data-driven audit methodologies.

Closure Management & Performance Metrics

  • Establish and maintain an electronic dashboard to track audit issues, remedial action plans, and verification results.
  • Monitor and quantify key performance indicators, including rectification completion rate, recurrence of audit issues, and cost savings or loss avoidance achieved.
  • Assist management in assessing the effectiveness of internal control improvements.

Policy, Compliance & Governance

  • Review and update the Group Internal Control Manual on a semi-annual basis.
  • Translate new accounting standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. IFRS 9, 15, 16, customs regulations, ESG disclosures) into actionable internal control policies and process designs.
  • Ensure continuous enhancement of internal control frameworks beyond documentation.

Anti-Fraud & Training

  • Assist in fraud and irregularity investigations, including data analysis, evidence collection, and process review.
  • Conduct internal control and risk management training sessions for Finance and business units.
  • Promote a strong internal control and risk awareness culture across the organization.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a public accounting firm or internal audit function of a listed company.
  • Fluent in Chinese with good written and reading proficiency in English.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

For Leader-level roles:

  • Proven experience in audit planning, team leadership, and internal control or process design.
