Job Purpose:

  • Responsible to manage and develop a set of strategic local, national and international customers accounts assigned efficiently by delivering a profitable volume through superior customer service, achieve competitive advantage and maximize account's potential to drive Modern Trade's objectives
  • Responsible to manage modern trade operations and execution excellence and effectiveness with proper detailed planning within budget/resources given
  • Responsible to upgrade staffs skills and competencies of the team both direct and indirect
  • Responsible for individual & group P&L of the channel/customers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pro-actively generate new category opportunities with the support of Business Manager
  • To be responsible for the following by key account: Annual sales volume achievement; Direct Marketing Expenses budget maintenance; Profit and loss evaluation; Credit management; Trading term negotiation/ renewal
  • To develop and implement a Joint Annual Customer Business Plan, Quarterly Business Review / Promotion Plan with individual customer.
  • Implement strategic annual promotion plan while and ensure flawless execution through consistent customer engagement and buy-in
  • On-going analysis and review of business trends to identify account gaps to plan and execution
  • Make regular headquarter buyer calls, identify customer needs/priorities and creating fact-based selling presentations
  • Work with sales operation team to ensure strong communication & execution of programs
  • Actively participate in customer payment processing including financial contracts, performance & collection
  • Work with Brand/Channel / Pricing/ Market Research team to strategize promotion plans for key customers managed.
  • Responsible for all categories Beverages, Dairies Ambient, Chilled.

What you bring

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Marketing/Business Studies or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience in sales / key account / trade marketing / marketing, preferably in FMCG industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with competency in data and trend analysis.
  • Possess strong English communication skills.
  • Possess effective presentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and demonstrate good business acumen.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Windows applications such as Excel, Words and PowerPoint.
