Acclime Group is looking for a Group Tax Manager to join our dynamic Group Finance team in Kuala Lumpur! The Group Tax Manager is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Acclime's global tax strategy. This role ensures compliance across multiple jurisdictions and contributes to tax efficiency, risk mitigation, and operational support. The position works closely with cross-functional teams and external advisors to uphold regulatory standards and drive consistency in tax processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Strategy & Planning

  • Assist in implementing group-wide tax strategies to improve tax efficiency and manage risk.
  • Provide analytical support for tax implications related to business initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.
  • Monitor global tax developments and evaluate their potential impact on operations.

Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Oversea direct and indirect tax compliance across all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns, payments, and statutory disclosures.
  • Support tax audits and liaise with tax authorities to address queries and resolve issues.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare consolidated tax reporting for group financial statements.
  • Analyse effective tax rates, deferred tax assets and liabilities, and tax provisions.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams during month-end and year-end closing activities.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory

  • Liaise with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.
  • Work with legal, treasury, and business units to support tax compliance and operational needs.
  • Provide advisory support on tax filings, audit preparation, and technical queries.
  • Share guidance and training with regional finance teams on tax-related matters.

Process Improvement & Governance

  • Support improvements in internal controls related to tax processes.
  • Contribute to automation and system enhancements for tax reporting.
  • Ensure alignment with internal policies and external regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax; professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CTA) is an advantage.
  • 58 years of experience in international tax, preferably within a multinational environment.
  • Solid understanding of local tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience in managing tax audits and working with multinational structures.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and tax reporting tools.
