Growth Product Lead - Social & CommunityLocation: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

About AirAsia MOVE

AirAsia MOVE is a travel and lifestyle platform dedicated to making travel seamless, affordable, and inspiring across ASEAN and beyond. As part of Capital A, MOVE connects flights, hotels, mobility, events, and experiences into a unified digital ecosystem designed around modern travelers.

We are building the next generation of travel discovery - where inspiration, community, and booking come together in a single platform.

About the Role

We are seeking a Growth Product Lead - Social & Community to define, launch, and scale social and user-generated content (UGC) experiences within the AirAsia MOVE app.

This role owns how travel content is created, discovered, trusted, and consumed - and how engagement translates into travel intent, event discovery, and bookings. You will lead a new product surface end-to-end, operating across product strategy, discovery, execution, and optimization.

The ideal candidate combines strong product judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to balance engagement growth with trust, safety, and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Vision & Strategy

  • Define and drive the product vision for social and UGC experiences supporting travel discovery and planning.

  • Translate business objectives (engagement, retention, bookings) into product hypotheses and actionable roadmaps.

  • Establish product principles focused on content quality, relevance, trust, and safety.

  • Shape how community-driven content enhances the MOVE travel ecosystem.

2. Zero-to-One Product Development

  • Lead product discovery to understand how users consume, trust, and act on travel content.

  • Design MVPs and phased rollouts to validate behaviors before scaling.

  • Address cold-start challenges including creator acquisition, incentives, and early content quality.

  • Build scalable foundations for long-term community growth.

3. Growth, Conversion & Experimentation

  • Own metrics linking content engagement to downstream outcomes such as intent formation and bookings.

  • Partner with data teams to design experiments and iterate based on insights.

  • Balance engagement growth with brand integrity and commercial impact.

  • Continuously optimize user journeys through experimentation.

4. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as product owner aligning engineering, design, marketing, growth, and data teams around shared outcomes.

  • Drive prioritization and clarity in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment.

  • Challenge initiatives that optimize vanity metrics without meaningful business or user value.

  • Foster strong collaboration across stakeholders.

5. Platform & Technical Collaboration

  • Maintain working knowledge of platform capabilities, constraints, and scalability considerations.

  • Collaborate with engineering on solution design ensuring performance and maintainability.

  • Balance experimentation speed with long-term architectural soundness.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 6+ years of experience in Product Management, Growth Product, or related leadership roles.

  • Proven experience building or scaling consumer-facing products involving content, discovery, or social interaction.

  • Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous problem statements and deliver measurable outcomes.

  • Strong product judgment with the ability to prioritize impact and make decisive trade-offs.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

Preferred

  • Experience with social, UGC, community, or creator-driven platforms.

  • Background in travel, e-commerce, marketplaces, or super-app ecosystems.

  • Experience connecting engagement-led features to monetization or transactional outcomes.

  • Exposure to multi-market or regional product environments.

Why Join AirAsia MOVE

  • Build the future of travel discovery powered by community and content.

  • Own and shape a zero-to-one product within a fast-scaling platform.

  • Work on high-impact initiatives influencing engagement and bookings across MOVE.

  • Collaborate with regional teams across product, technology, and commercial domains.

  • Play a key role in redefining how travelers discover and experience the world.
