About The Role
The Halal Executive ensures all products and services comply with halal standards and regulations. The role involves implementing and monitoring halal policies, managing certification processes, maintaining quality compliance, and engaging with customers and stakeholders on halal matters. The position also focuses on improving certification processes and staying updated on industry best practices.

Reporting To Plant Operations Manager
Key responsibilities
- Halal Certification Management
- Oversee the halal certification process for products and services.
- Ensure compliance with halal standards and regulations.
- liaising for audits and updates Liaise with halal certification bodies and authorities.
- Halal Assurance and regulation compliance
- Conduct validation and verification thru regular audits and inspections to ensure halal compliance.
- Implement and monitor halal management system procedures.
- Ensure all food served meets Islamic dietary laws and regulatory requirements.
- Working with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with halal standards and food safety regulations.
- Training and HAS management
- Provide training to staff on halal practices and standards.
- Develop educational materials and programs related to halal compliance.
- Develop and implement HAS management in premises.
- Internal Audits
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to Halal policies and procedures and address any discrepancies.
- Risk Management & halal compliance advice
- Overseeing Operations Manage day-to-day operations related to halal food processing and production.
- Identify and mitigate risks in food operations.
- Offer guidance on product labelling, raw material assessment to meet food regulation and halal standard.
- Product Development assessment
- Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure new products meet halal requirements.
- Review ingredients and production processes for halal compliance.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of halal certification and compliance activities.
- Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Supplier & Ingredient Verification
- Collaborate with procurement to monitor and verify the Halal compliance of new ingredients and suppliers.
- Perform any task being appointed by management that links with business requirement time to time.
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in food science, Islamic Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in halal certification and compliance. Experience in the food industry or related sectors would be an added advantage.
- Certification in halal compliance or related areas is preferred.
- Familiarity with halal standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that able to address and resolve issues related to halal compliance
