About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven
Head, Broking to join RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will lead the Broking and GLC teams, formulate and execute marketing strategies, manage operations, and drive business growth. You will ensure effective engagement with brokers, large corporates, and GLCs while optimizing operational performance and maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards.
What You Will Be Doing
- Plan and formulate marketing strategies for Broking and GLC to identify new market opportunities, expand market share, and sustain renewal business.
- Allocate targets to Broking 1, Broking 2, and GLC teams, and review targets set by team heads.
- Monitor budgets, including expenses and production targets.
- Review monthly performance of Broking and GLC teams to ensure targets are met; formulate backup plans if required.
- Join and support staff in visitations to brokers, business partners, and GLCs to ensure effective engagement within budgeted expenses.
- Oversee review of staff visitation schedules to ensure impactful engagement with brokers and GLCs.
- Evaluate strategic business opportunities and reciprocal partnerships proposed by teams.
- Assess marketing activities and campaigns for brokers and GLCs proposed by teams.
- Lead and manage daily operations to achieve business goals, optimize operational performance, and maximize productivity and profitability.
- Exercise prudent underwriting in risk acceptance and assessment within company guidelines, and manage claims within designated branch authority.
- Conduct regular meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure timely management of targeting listings for production, renewal, and retention.
- Ensure succession planning, staff development plans, and staff retirement plans are in place.
- Perform any other duties or tasks assigned by direct supervisor.

- Proven leadership experience in broking, corporate insurance, or related business.
- Strong business acumen with experience in strategy formulation and marketing execution.
- Ability to manage budgets, operational performance, and team productivity.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Strong underwriting knowledge and risk assessment capabilities.
- Effective planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to mentor and develop teams, including succession and staff development planning.
