Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • Head of Cash Management within the Transactional Banking is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the development, implementation, and optimization of the bank's cash management products, services, and channels.
  • This position plays a critical role in shaping the bank's cash management strategy, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge, customer-centric solutions that address the complex needs of corporate clients across various sectors.
  • The role will lead the innovation and performance management of cash management offerings, collaborating with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader business objectives and market trends.
  • The individual will also oversee the end-to-end implementation of these solutions, managing large-scale projects, driving revenue growth, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Additionally, the Senior Director will provide visionary leadership to a high-performing team, developing talent and fostering a culture of excellence, while cultivating and managing senior client relationships that enhance the bank's competitive positioning in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Management Strategy & Leadership

  • Strategic Development: Lead the creation, development, and continuous refinement of the bank's cash management strategy. Align this strategy with broader corporate objectives, market opportunities, and technological innovations to drive growth and competitive advantage.
  • Portfolio Performance: Oversee the performance of the cash management portfolio, ensuring that products and services meet client expectations, regulatory requirements, and performance metrics. Drive profitability and customer satisfaction while minimizing operational risks.
  • Market Trends & Customer Insights: Monitor emerging market trends, customer needs, and technological advancements in the cash management industry. Leverage this insight to drive new product development and enhancements.
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Ensure coordination with senior stakeholders across business units to ensure that cash management initiatives align with the broader strategic objectives of the bank.

Product Development & Innovation

  • Product Strategy: Oversee the design and continuous innovation of cash management products and services, including liquidity management, payments, collections, fraud prevention, and disbursement solutions. Ensure these products are competitive and relevant to the needs of corporate clients.
  • Business & Product Innovation: Identify new opportunities and explore emerging technologies to drive the development of innovative solutions in cash management, keeping the bank at the forefront of market offerings.
  • Technology & Operations Collaboration: Work closely with the technology, operations, and data analytics teams to ensure the seamless integration and execution of cash management solutions across digital and physical platforms. Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance the customer experience.

Channel Management & Optimization

  • Channel Leadership: Oversee the performance and evolution of all cash management channels, ensuring they provide an efficient, secure, and scalable user experience for clients.
  • Platform Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize digital platforms and channels, ensuring they meet both customer expectations and regulatory standards. Proactively identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the service delivery process.
  • Client Experience Excellence: Partner with the digital banking team to enhance the online, mobile, and self-service experiences for clients, ensuring an integrated and seamless customer journey across all platforms.

Implementation & Project Management

  • Solution Implementation: Lead and manage complex, large-scale cash management implementation projects for corporate clients, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery with the highest quality.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with client-facing teams, including relationship managers and product specialists, to ensure that cash management solutions are tailored to client needs and seamlessly executed.
  • Client Onboarding & Training: Develop and oversee comprehensive onboarding processes for clients, ensuring they are effectively trained on the bank's cash management solutions and equipped to leverage them for maximum business impact.

Client Relationship Management

  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain long-term, strategic relationships with key corporate clients and senior stakeholders. Provide thought leadership and advisory services on cash management solutions that drive client success.
  • Client Acquisition & Retention: Support client acquisition strategies by positioning the bank's cash management services as a value-driven solution to potential clients.
  • Trusted Advisor: Serve as the senior advisor to clients, ensuring that cash management solutions are proactively aligned with their business goals, operational needs, and financial strategies.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

  • Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Ensure that the bank's cash management services meet all local and international regulatory requirements, including those related to anti-money laundering (AML), fraud prevention, data privacy, and other relevant standards.
  • Risk Identification & Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with cash management processes, products, and client interactions. Work closely with compliance and internal audit teams to ensure that best practices are followed.
  • Compliance Reporting: Oversee the preparation of compliance reports and liaise with relevant regulatory bodies to ensure that the bank's cash management services adhere to the latest legal and regulatory standards.

Team Management & Development

  • Leadership & Talent Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of cash management professionals. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and client-focused culture that delivers excellence in service and product delivery.
  • Performance Management: Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics for team members, ensuring alignment with business goals. Regularly assess team performance, providing feedback and ensuring accountability.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Develop and manage the budgets for the cash management portfolio, ensuring that financial goals and cost control measures are met.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across cash management solutions, ensuring they meet revenue targets, client satisfaction goals, and operational efficiency standards.
  • Growth Strategies: Provide insights and strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial performance, industry trends, and customer feedback, ensuring ongoing growth and the successful execution of the cash management strategy.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA or relevant post-graduate qualification is a plus).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in cash management, transactional banking, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
