Head Corporate Strategy

About the role

The role is primarily responsible in leading the strategic planning process, developing long-term corporate strategies, and driving strategic initiatives across the Bank. This role involves working closely with senior management to formulate and execute strategic plans that align with the bank's vision and objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and competitive advantage. This role would also require preparing and analyzing of management reports, financial data, and budgets to provide up-to-date insights on strategic initiatives performance as well as recommendations for improvements.

What will you do:

• Formulate and implement corporate strategies that support the Bank's growth and profitability and evaluate and recommend strategic business opportunities.
• Lead the development and execution of the Bank's strategic planning process.
• Develop long-term strategic goals and objectives in collaboration with senior management.
• Facilitate strategic discussions and decision-making processes including impact analysis of business strategy to the overall bank's strategy.
• Assist on implementing the digital strategy including measuring the ROI on Digital Projects and evaluating the improvements on digital strategy.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the implementation and success of strategic initiatives.
• Prepare and present strategic and management reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational performance reports as well as strategic initiatives.
• Analyze data from various sources to provide meaningful insights and identify key trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide consultive insights to stakeholders to understand and design good performance metric and ensure the delivery of relevant and actionable information.
• Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes, adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Provide current market research, trending and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve process and strategies with technology solution and using data to make informed decisions.
• Recognize development needs to improve and streamline operations to improve data culture.
• Build and lead a high-performing corporate strategy team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
• Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities for team members.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment and integration of strategic initiatives.
• Work as an intermediary between other functions in the rollout of corporate initiatives, and closing performance gaps that exist in and between the various functions and business units of the organization.
• Liaising with other department within the Bank for documentation and monitoring for reporting as required.
• To perform other duties as assigned and support specific assignments from time to time.

Skills and experience you possess:

• Bachelor's Degree / Professional Degree in Business Administration / Finance / Economics or any related field. An MBA or relevant master's degree, or Professional Certification in Accounting/ Business / Investments-related is highly preferred.
• Possess a minimum of 10 years working experience in Strategy / Management Reporting / Financial Reports or any related discipline.
• Sound understanding and knowledge in banking and digital banking.
• Ability to develop and articulate a clear vision for the future and the strategies needed to achieve it.
• Strong ability to analyze complex data and situations, making informed decisions that drive the bank's strategic goals.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team toward achieving strategic objectives.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and regulatory environments.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with senior executives, board members, and external stakeholders.
