The Head of Project Management plays a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of digital initiatives across the bank. This role is responsible for leading the Digital Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring project governance, execution excellence, and alignment with Agile delivery models. The individual will foster a high-performing, agile, and collaborative team culture while enabling cross-functional delivery of digital products and experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead PMO standards and governance while driving portfolio prioritization and resource planning across digital initiatives in collaboration with Group Digital Product leads.
- Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of cross‑functional digital initiatives, acting as the escalation point for risks while ensuring alignment across product, design, technology, and business teams.
- Build and develop a high‑performing PMO and agile team through defined competency frameworks, upskilling, and continuous capability development.
- Engage and align key stakeholders through clear communication, effective dependency management, and executive‑level project reporting.
- Drive continuous process improvement through delivery analytics, automation, and self‑service reporting to enhance execution efficiency and predictability.
Role Requirement:
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Experience in a banking or financial services environment is preferred
- Proven experience in project management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project)
Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or equivalent.
