Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Head of Security Architecture provides enterprise-wide leadership in defining, delivering, and continuously improving the Bank's security architecture. The role ensures all solutions are secure by design, embedding consistent patterns across systems, infrastructure, applications, and cloud platforms. Acting as the technical authority, the position validates, challenges, and endorses solution designs to ensure outcomes are both secure and operationally feasible.
  • This role is accountable for shaping and driving the Bank's security strategy through structured maturity assessments, benchmarking, and capability implementation. By anticipating emerging risks and technologies, the function translates threats into actionable objectives that balance regulatory requirements, business priorities, and long-term enterprise direction.
  • As the Bank's security representative in architecture forums, the role defines and enforces security requirements in technology adoption, integration, and modernization. It leads strategic programs such as Zero Trust and Cyber Defense, while embedding security into the Bank's broader digital transformation and technology modernization agendas. Departmental security campaigns are directed to address evolving enterprise priorities, strengthening resilience and building security maturity consistently across the Group.
  • The role applies an architectural approach to risk management, ensuring security is built into every technology building block and that risks are quantified, assessed, and communicated in business terms. Oversight of project execution ensures security capabilities are implemented in line with defined blueprints, processes, and operating models, translating strategy into secure, sustainable delivery.
  • As security subject matter expert, the role leads vendor and product evaluations, balancing best-of-breed capabilities with platform approaches and promoting shared tooling across departments to support modernization while avoiding fragmentation.
  • The position also acts as a change agent, driving technical workshops, process optimization, and security champion networks to embed accountability for security across business units. Secure implementation is achieved through continuous improvement cycles, optimizing the use of tooling and features through testing and iterative deployment.
  • Finally, the role provides trusted support and advisory to stakeholders by analyzing business requirements, evaluating solution alternatives, and recommending the most effective security decisions that align with enterprise principles and strategic objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a recognized Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline. A postgraduate qualification or specialization in information security, enterprise architecture, or technology management is preferred.
  • Minimum 1015 years of progressive experience in IT Security and Technology Architecture within the Financial Services Industry.
  • At least 5 years in a technical leadership and architectural contributor capacity, leading enterprise-scale security transformation initiatives.
  • Minimum 5 years of combined exposure to enterprise security tooling, security operations, system security engineering, or solution consulting across multiple security domains.
  • Proven experience defining security strategies, frameworks, and maturity models, translating them into practical execution.
