Business Development & Growth Lead (Momentum)

Momentum is our newest subsidiary brand - designed to push boundaries in fitness, lifestyle, and experiential wellness. We're now looking for a Business Development & Growth Lead to help scale Momentum's footprint, unlock new revenue opportunities, and shape its commercial strategy from the ground up.

JOB OVERVIEW

As the Business Development & Growth Lead at Momentum, you'll be responsible for driving the commercial growth of our business - identifying new partnership opportunities, unlocking revenue streams, and helping scale our brand presence across Malaysia and the region.

You'll work closely with our founder and leadership team to shape deal structures, activate strategic initiatives, and pitch creative commercial ideas across the sports, fitness, and wellness industry. From placemaking deals to brand activations, licensing, and sponsorship sales - this role is both strategic and hands-on.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

1. Lead Generation & Strategic Partnerships

  • Identify, approach, and build relationships with high-potential partners (corporates, brands, venues, developers, sports bodies).
  • Position Momentum as the go-to partner for commercial sport innovation and brand activation.

2. Deal Structuring & Negotiation

  • Craft win-win partnerships across sponsorship, licensing, events, and branded content.
  • Lead negotiation processes and close high-value commercial deals.

3. Revenue Innovation & New Business Models

  • Design and test scalable revenue initiatives (e.g. pop-ups, campaigns, collabs, real estate activations).
  • Work with leadership to expand into new commercial verticals.

4. Regional Expansion & Market Development

  • Support market entry strategies for regional growth (Singapore, Jakarta, Bali, etc.).
  • Conduct feasibility studies and help structure market-launch models.

5. Proposal Development & Commercial Storytelling

  • Build decks, pitch documents, and creative presentations that turn strategy into sellable narratives.
  • Represent Momentum in external pitches and partnership meetings.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with ops, legal, marketing, and content teams to bring deals from concept to activation.

7.Execution Excellence

  • Drive projects to completion quickly and effectively, with minimal reliance on others- moving from idea to contract at pace.

8. Manage Up

  • Keep leadership informed and aligned without requiring handholding; you own your pipeline.
