The Head of Business development will be responsible for the planning, organization and managing of the P&L of the business, including building up the required management system, achieving quality, productivity, cost and profit goals of existing operation and developing external stakeholder relationship, and managing expansion plan. The head of business development is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the regional commercial organization.
A successful role holder will be a strategic, problem-solving, solution-minded and resilient person with demonstrated experience in successfully building and facilitating partnerships across multiple functional groups.
Duties and responsibilities :
- Manage overall business development department with P&L responsibility; Lead the operation for both financial as well as customer aspects
- Plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management to meet agreed organizational performance within agreed budgets and time
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Renewable energy sector that is align with the company objective
- Manage, coordinate, and develop a robust management team for commercial departments and support functions. Collaborate with other departments to lead and support each team in achieving their goals
- Provide leadership to achieve production goals while maximize the efficient use of materials, equipment, and labour to maintain or exceed quality standard and minimize cost of order book acquisition
- Monitor and analyse sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Develop expansion strategies and initiatives, to drive revenue growth, to expand our customer base, and build up project organization to implement growth plans
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, standards and systems to ensure smooth operation and with compliance with legislation standards
- Oversee continuous improvement initiatives and expansion plan as per business objective
- Ensure that operations run smoothly and according to company policy by implementing the company's policies and procedures
- Successfully executes client contracts from negotiation to close in adherence to related company policies and procedures.
- Manage and control operation and non-operation cost within agreed budgets.
- Develops thorough knowledge of the industry, our products and service, as well as those of our competitors
- Monitor and implement quality standards by external bodies, and integrate within internal quality management systems.
- Lead Human and Social capital initiatives to achieve business objectives and able to build relationship with local authorities and communities
- Result-oriented and task focused, with ability to drive Continuous Improvement and safety standards.

- Establishing organization and staffing come with the right operating system and procedure in place for new growth projects
- Deliver of QPC (Quality, Productivity & Cost) objectives and targets;
- Build capacity and capability so as to manage both the present and a future growth plan;
- Instil system/procedure so as to ensure Business sustenance and performance; Forecast sales and budgets and implement out of the box strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
Job Requirement :
- Relevant Degree in Engineering / Finance or Business discipline. MBA will be an added advantage. At least 10 years of working experience from in similar capacity.
- Preferably working experience in multinational company with standard practices; Experience in managing renewable energy organization or similar industries will be an added advantage.
- Relevant Experience in business development in similar industries
- Business savvy, with successful experience in techno-commercial business development
