For a leading multinational company in the technology sector, we are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of HR APAC to lead and align the HR strategy across the region. This senior leadership role is pivotal in shaping and executing human resources initiatives that support business objectives across multiple countries.
The ideal candidate will drive organizational effectiveness, enhance employee experience, and ensure operational excellence across regional offices, while fostering strong partnerships with senior leadership. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on people strategy, business transformation, and cultural alignment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership across APAC, ensuring alignment between HR initiatives and business objectives.
- Lead talent management strategies, including succession planning, leadership development, and workforce optimization, aligned with regional priorities.
- Drive cross-functional HR initiatives in collaboration with the Global HR team and Centers of Excellence (COEs), ensuring effective regional execution of global programs.
- Manage and develop a team of local HR Business Partners, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to ensure high-performance HR delivery across the region.
Regional Operations
- Oversee office operations across APAC to ensure employee satisfaction, efficient resource allocation, and compliance with local regulations.
- Partner with Global Facilities Management to ensure consistency in office policies and smooth operational processes.
- Manage regional office budgets and resources to ensure cost-effective and high-quality operations.
- Lead complex employee relations matters and negotiations in compliance with local labor laws and corporate policies.
- Provide expert HR guidance on employment law and ensure full compliance with all applicable regional regulations.
Talent Development & Succession Planning
- Lead workforce planning initiatives to ensure the organization has the right capabilities and talent to achieve business goals.
- Drive leadership development programs and oversee high-potential talent identification and succession planning processes.
- Ensure effective performance management practices, including goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and professional development initiatives.
Culture & Employee Engagement
- Promote a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative culture aligned with Global Blue's values.
- Implement and monitor initiatives that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Regional Leadership & Strategy Execution
- Partner with senior leaders to support business transformation initiatives, providing expertise in organizational design and change management.
- Ensure seamless execution of HR strategies across the region, maintaining alignment with both regional and global priorities.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 1012 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 57 years in a regional or global role managing multiple countries within APAC.
- Proven ability to lead and develop HR teams, with experience managing cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
- Strong ability to design and execute regional HR strategies that drive employee engagement and business performance.
- Deep understanding of APAC employment laws, cultural dynamics, and business practices.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively advise and partner with senior leadership.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills, capable of identifying HR challenges and delivering actionable solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working in multicultural environments and adapting HR practices to diverse regional contexts.
