Job Purpose
Base Maintenance Malaysia Sdn Bhd (BMM) is seeking to appoint a *Head of Human Resources* to lead the full HR function for a growing aviation MRO business.
This is a key leadership role reporting to the CEO. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a professional, responsive, and business-aligned HR function to support organisational growth, workforce capability, employee relations stability, and operational excellence.
The role will cover the full HR spectrum, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, payroll oversight, employee engagement, and HR governance.
The successful candidate will also work closely with relevant stakeholders in the parent/shareholder organisations to ensure appropriate alignment with group policies, governance requirements, reporting expectations, and applicable HR frameworks, while remaining responsive to BMM's local business needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full HR function for BMM
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on workforce strategy, organisation design, manpower planning, and people-related risks
- Build and lead a professional, high-performing, and service-oriented HR team
- Drive recruitment strategy and delivery to support BMM's manpower ramp-up and growth plans
- Oversee employee relations matters, including disciplinary cases, grievances, investigations, performance issues, and conflict resolution
- Strengthen leadership and people management capability across the organisation
- Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll governance, and core HR operations with strong controls and discipline
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and workforce stability initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws, internal policies, and sound HR governance standards
- Coordinate with parent/shareholder stakeholders on HR reporting, policy alignment, and governance matters where applicable
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Law, or related discipline
- At least 12–15 years of progressive HR experience with strong exposure across the full HR spectrum
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role
- Strong experience in employee relations, talent acquisition, HR operations, and organisational development
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- High professionalism, maturity, discretion, and sound judgment
- Experience in aviation, MRO, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, or other operationally intensive environments will be an advantage
