We are partnering with a joint-venture manufacturing organisation seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function and support business growth at a manufacturing site in Johor.
This role will oversee end-to-end HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, compliance, and training & development. The HR Manager will work closely with senior management to plan workforce needs, strengthen employee engagement, and ensure compliance with labour laws and safety regulations.
The role also focuses on building a productive workforce, improving HR policies and processes, managing performance reviews and succession planning, and leveraging HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and engagement to support workforce planning and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full spectrum of HR functions within the manufacturing site
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Manage talent acquisition and workforce planning to support operational needs
- Handle employee relations matters, ensuring a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee performance management, succession planning, and employee development
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and safety regulations
- Manage compensation & benefits programs and HR administrative processes
- Partner with senior management to support organizational development and workforce productivity
- Analyse HR metrics and workforce data to support decision making and continuous improvement
Key Requirements
- 810 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in an HR leadership role
- Strong experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Good knowledge of labour laws, compliance, and HR governance
- Experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training & development
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a joint-venture environment
- Mandarin speaking required for business communication
