About The Job

To lead a cross-functional IFRS 17 team supporting both Great Eastern Malaysia and Singapore entities. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality IFRS 17 reporting, reconciliation, and valuation outputs, while driving operational efficiency, compliance, and alignment with Group standards.

  • Lead and manage IFRS 17 Valuation, Reporting and Operations & Systems teams.
  • Oversee end-to-end IFRS 17 reporting processes including financial disclosures, reconciliations, and actuarial valuations.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in IFRS 17 outputs across entities.
  • Act as the key liaison between IFRS 17 team and stakeholders including Finance and Actuarial teams in local entities.
  • Ensure robust documentation, controls, and audit readiness across all IFRS 17 workstreams.
  • Drive harmonization of templates, tools, and methodologies across Malaysia and Singapore entities.

We are looking for people who

  • Degree in Accountancy, Actuarial Science or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Minimum 810 years of experience in insurance or takaful industry, with strong exposure to IFRS 17.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS 17 reporting, actuarial valuation, and reconciliation processes.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
